Sam Adams Combined Events Week Welcomes Athletes from Around the World

SBTC set to host athletes from around the country and world at the Sam Adams Combined Events Invitational on April 6 & 7; FREE Youth Clinic on April 4 and SBTC Youth Track Tri-Challenge and 1-Mile Run on April 7

SANTA BARBARA, Calif - The ABEO Santa Barbara Track Club (SBTC) is set to host the 7th Annual Sam Adams Combined Events Invitational at Westmont College on Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7. The international event will welcome athletes from around the world competing in the two-day, seven event women's Heptathlon and ten event men's Decathlon. Some of the world's best athletes have competed in the event's first six editions contributing to a rich athletics history on California's Central Coast.

In addition, the SBTC will once again be hosting a FREE Youth Clinic on Wednesday, April 4 at 5:00pm as well as the SBTC Youth Tri-Challenge and 1-Mile Run on Saturday morning, April 7. Participants in the Youth Tri-Challenge and 1-Mile Run can save $5 on registration by registering online by Wednesday, April 4. 

Competing in select events for the SBTC will be a host of new faces, including Austin Bahner who was 5th in the 2018 USA Indoor Heptathlon Championships as well as Westmont alum Becky Collier who finished 10th in the 2018 USA Indoor Pentathlon Championships.
