A Canadian National Team member, Joy is a 4 x All Canadian and a Canadian University and Ontario University Athletics champion and multiple time medalist in the short sprints, hurdles and relays. She has been recognized for aspiring to be a role model for Aboriginal youth in Canada, and was recognized nationally as an Aboriginal athlete in Canada through the 2017 Tom Longboat Award. She has joined the Santa Barbara Track Club with hopes of making the Canadian Team for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
